Raise Your Hand

Volunteer

Get a front-row seat to the memories your kids will carry for decades — no music experience needed, no long-term commitment. Every role below spells out exactly what it involves and how much time it takes. We don't have to do this, we GET to!

Give a little or give a lot: each Sign Up link opens a SignUpGenius with a menu of jobs — some are a whole game, some are literally "bring a bag of ice." Pick whatever fits your week, show up, and we'll show you the ropes. Every job comes with clear instructions, and the GroupMe is always one tap away if a question comes up mid-shift.
Role What it is Ideal for Time

Game Days: Pit Crew / Props / Band Prep

Move front-ensemble instruments and props from trailer to field and back, on a tight clock. Help the kids with uniforms, hats and plumes — any last-minute needs before their halftime march. No experience needed.

The perk: you’re on the field, yards from the performance. Best seat in the house.

Able to roll equipment; loves being near the action; get to watch your kid play up close!
~3 hrs per game

Game Days: Fundraising Table

We sell drinks during the game (tea, lemonade, etc) at the Band Booster table. Be part of the prep crew (mix drinks in advance), help set up and take down the gear, or work the table collecting money.

The perk: you get to interact with the fans and have fun!

Social folks who love a lively crowd
~3 hrs per game

Competition Days: Chaperones

Come with us to away games and contests. Hand out water, keep headcounts — be the calm adult keeping students fed, hydrated, and where they need to be.

The perk: you get a front-row seat to competition day — the behind-the-scenes moments and watching your kid perform up close.

Student Meals

Help serve meals to the band on home game days — prep, set up, serve, clean up. Students eat together after they perform, and this crew makes it happen.

The perk: you’re serving kids right after they come off the field — fed, happy, and still buzzing from the show.

Anyone who can organize or serve a meal
~1.5 hrs on game days

Fundraising Events

Help run special events throughout the year. Great option if you can’t commit to game days — most events are short and scheduled in advance. Sign up to keep posted!

The perk: short shifts, quick wins, and the fastest way to get to know the other band parents.

Paparazzi

Take photos and videos at games and contests for the band’s social pages and end-of-year slideshow. If you’re already in the stands with your phone out, this one’s for you!

Not sure where you fit?

Post in the GroupMe and say "I can help, what do you need?" — a board member will match you with whatever needs hands that week. That's genuinely how most people start.
